TRAX train derails in Murray
MURRAY – A tow truck driver is recovering from serious injuries, after authorities say he drove around the crossing arms of the TRAX line in Murray and his vehicle was struck by a train.
It happened around 9:15 a.m. at 6100 S and 300 W in Murray, and the force of the impact derailed the light rail train. UTA reported delays in service as a result through most of the morning.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the Utah Transit Authority announced that the delays were “clearing up” by 3 p.m.
No other injuries had been reported due to the crash.
