Is the world’s largest rope swing located in Moab, Utah?
MOAB, Utah – The rugged landscape of Southern Utah is known around the world for its red rocks, outdoor adventure, and of course– the iconic arches. And they just got a huge social media bump.
Imagine strapping yourself into a harness and jumping off a cliff from more than 100 feet up, then swinging through the opening in an arch with nothing to stop you from dying than a rope and the knot-tying abilities of your friends.
A group of young adults decided it sounded like a great idea, and a local filmmaker decided it would make an amazing viral video.
“The most incredible part…was seeing how much fun everyone was having together, and everyone was working together to make this video happen. It was just a bunch of friends hanging out at the end of the day.”
Local film Director/Producer Devin Graham, or “DevinSuperTramp” as he’s known on YouTube, is making a name for himself as one of the best and brightest content producers on the Internet.
But surprisingly, Graham says some of his videos make him nervous.
“I’m totally afraid of heights. In a lot of YouTube videos that I make, I would actually never do the things I film, especially in the case of the Moab Rope Swing–it terrified me. So it took a while to get used to being up way high looking down, because regardless how long you’re up there, the fear doesn’t really go away.”
So, what’s next for Devin?
According to a recent tweet, he’s heading to Africa to film more YouTube videos.
